The Story of Gargantilla
Gargantilla Jewelry Accessories & Headpieces started in the busy city of Manila, Philippines way before it went online. As an innate entrepreneur, handcraft and fashion enthusiast, Cher Nuguid-Espiritu, started making a few pieces of handcrafted jewelry accessories and sold them to her relatives with just mere PhP1,500 (around US$30). Everything she made was sold out. The earnings prompted her to make more and more creations and the rest is history.
Gargantilla has also been featured in Philippine print and TV shows (Manila Bulletin, Channel 5's morning program "Sapul sa Singko", FashionWatch on RPN News 9, Island Weddings Magazine, The Wedding Digest, People's Journal, Sense & Style Magazine, Stella Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, to name a few) which showcased the beginning of the store as well as her creations. Local Filipino celebrities, such as Ruffa Guttierez and Jillian Ward (in their movie, "The Mommy Returns"), Maricar Reyes (The Wedding Digest 2012 issue) and Paloma Esmeria (When In Manila Intimate feature), singing goddess Jaya and beautiful actress Lovi Poe have worn some of Gargantilla's creations.
To date, Gargantilla is not just into crafting jewelry accessories, but also makes one-of-a-kind headpieces or fascinators for all occassions, most especially weddings. It also has plans to venture in other ecommerce businesses in the future. There ain't no limit to creativity!
Now based in New Mexico, USA, Gargantilla is starting to join artisans in Amazon Handmade, Etsy, Facebook and now establishing a store on Ebay.com to reach out more to unique individuals.
True to its motto, Gargantilla is "where fantasy becomes reality".
